By purchasing products or services from Aavasaksan Veturi Oy’s online services, the customer agrees to comply with these terms and any merchant-specific terms and conditions.
Ordering
General Terms
Prices displayed in the online service include value-added tax (VAT).
We apply dynamic pricing to our accommodation units. Prices vary depending on the time period and may change monthly, weekly, or daily.
We sell products to private individuals of legal age as well as to corporate customers.
We reserve the right to change prices.
The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide.
We reserve the right to amend our terms of delivery. The customer must review the currently valid delivery terms before placing an order.
Booking Terms
These terms apply to all rental and bookable products and services, hereinafter collectively referred to as the "property".
Booking
The customer is responsible for familiarizing themselves with the property description, instructions, and booking conditions before making a reservation.
A booking made by the customer becomes binding once the order/payment confirmation has been sent to the email address provided by the customer.
The customer must pay for the booking according to the payment method selected and in accordance with its specific terms.
The booking system sends an order/payment confirmation to the customer’s provided email address.
The merchant is not responsible for failed bookings. In such cases, the customer must contact the merchant without delay to resolve the situation.
The merchant does not guarantee that the property is still available at that time.
If the property is not available, the payment will be refunded, or another property will be offered if possible.
Cancellations and Changes
The cancellation date is the day the merchant receives the cancellation notice.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the cancellation is sent in sufficient time.
If the customer cancels their booking:
- 14 days or more before the start of the booking: a processing fee of €25 (incl. VAT) will be charged.
- Less than 14 days but at least 3 days before the start: 50% of the total order amount will be charged, but at least €50.
- Less than 3 days before the start: the full rental amount will be charged.
For bookings made with a discount code, the full rental fee is always charged regardless of the cancellation date.
At the customer’s request, a booking can be transferred under the following conditions:
- A transfer can only be made once.
- The property cannot be changed.
- The transfer must be made no later than 14 days before the original booking start date.
- A transfer fee of €10 (incl. VAT) applies.
If a transferred booking is later canceled, the full rental amount will be charged regardless of the cancellation date.
Merchant’s Right to Cancel a Booking
In the event of a force majeure, the merchant may terminate the rental agreement. The customer will be informed of the termination without delay.
In such a case, the customer is entitled to a full refund of the paid rental fee.
Costs or losses resulting from the termination due to a force majeure event will not be compensated.
Use of the Property
The property is defined in the property description.
The customer has the right to use the property, its equipment, and any separately specified services during the rental period.
If the customer notices any deficiencies or issues with the property, they must immediately report them to the person responsible for reservation management.
The customer must maintain the cleanliness of the property and ensure that waste is properly disposed of during and after the rental period.
The customer is responsible for final cleaning after the stay.
If the property is left uncleaned, the merchant will charge the full cleaning costs.
Cleaning work: €35/hour, travel costs €0.50/km, and travel time is counted as working time.
The property is available to the customer only during the time specified in the property description.
Pets
The customer is fully responsible and liable for any damages caused by their pets.
Pets may not be left unattended in the accommodation.
Pet owners must pay special attention to the cleanliness of the accommodation. The property will always be inspected after pets, and cleaned by the merchant if necessary.
Whether pets are allowed in the accommodation is always specified separately.
Pet owners must also follow any additional specific instructions provided.
Compensation for Damages
The customer is obliged to compensate the merchant for any damage they cause to the property. The customer is also responsible for any guests visiting the property and any damage they cause during the booking period.
The merchant is not liable for any inconvenience or costs resulting from natural conditions such as insects, animals, thaw damage, or unexpected weather changes.
Complaints
Any complaints must be made as soon as possible after the issue arises.
If the matter cannot be resolved satisfactorily or involves a compensation claim, the complaint must be submitted in writing within one month after the end of the rental period.
The merchant aims to process complaints as quickly as possible, but no later than within one month.
If the customer and merchant cannot reach an agreement, the customer may refer the dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta).
Payment Terms
The merchant uses reliable and secure payment intermediaries in its services.
The merchant does not store bank account or credit card details at any stage.
The customer agrees to comply with the terms of the chosen payment method.
Payment by Invoice
Invoices must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice.
Late payments will incur additional fees. If the invoice is paid after the due date using the original invoice and late fees have already accrued, those fees will be invoiced separately.
If the payment transaction is not successfully completed at the time of ordering, the merchant will not process the order.
